Property Description:
Where History Lives On...

Step back into the old West at the Irma Hotel, a place that Buffalo Bill Cody called a "gem." You'll capture the romance of an era when Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show try-outs were held on the lots west of the hotel, when buffalo ran amok in downtown Cody, and when European nobility headquartered at the Irma Hotel on hunting treks in the area.

You can stay in renovated rooms that housed some of the most famous personalities the world has ever known. You can even stay in Buffalo Bill's private suite or in a host of other historic and non-historic rooms. All have modern bathrooms and air conditioning.

So stay with us and enjoy the best food in the West. We recommend our prime rib. Enjoy a drink in the Buffalo Bill Bar or the Silver Saddle Lounge where you can see a show saddle that belonged to Buffalo Bill Cody.

The Irma, built in 1902, is a living museum of the Old West. Town father, Buffalo Bill Cody, built and named the hotel for his daughter Irma.

Fifteen original suites featuring period furnishings and 25 other guest rooms. Of particular note is The Irma's ornate cherry wood back bar which was built in France, a gift from Queen Victoria to Buffalo Bill, which is a focus of the main dining room. Cody used profits from his Wild West Shows to haul his treasure west.

The Irma offers three meeting room sizes: Rooms for intimate seminars; The Governor's Room for banquets of up to 60 people; The Main Dining Room for banquets of up to 200.

The Irma Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service, in recognition of its contribution to the cultural foundations of America.

Walking distance to the renowned Buffalo Bill Historical Center, shopping, river floats, and golf course. Minutes from fishing, big game hunting, pack trips and wind surfing. One hour drive to the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Rodeo nightly in summer season and a special 4th of July celebration add to the Wild West character of Cody.
